What is the JFOL?

The Junior Friends of the Library is comprised of Union County high school students who want to help their community through volunteering at their public library. The group meets monthly to plan and organize teen events.

The JFOL also hold fundraisers for their Scholarship Program. Most events are teen-centric and as varied as the personalities of its members. Programs such as video game tournaments, Band Nights, and more have been popular with area teens. The Junior Friends’ also volunteer at library programs, including children’s summer programs, book bingo, teen read week, and lots of other events that allow the teens to build up those much needed service hours. All Union County High School students are encouraged to join. Call the library at 386-496-3432 for more information.
